Quarantine life has me thinking back to past holidays that were simply amazing. A couple of years ago, I went to Durban to celebrate my birthday and Durban oh Durban, where do I start.. This gorgeous coastal city located on South African, eastern KwaZulu-Natal province is an absolute must see!
As a lot of you know, I live in London so I took the British Airways flight to Johannesburg and got a connecting flight with Kulula Airline from Jozi to Durban (super easy!).
Arriving in Durban, the drive into Umhlanga was beautiful. We were staying at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, where the next few days were filled with bottomless breakfast mimosa’s, the most relaxing massages with the sound of lightly crashing waves in the background and not to mention a number of lovely dinners, my favourite being dinner at The Oyster Box, a short walk away from the Beverly Hills Hotel, is a must when in Durban.
The service throughout our stay was fantastic, the team helped surprise me on my birthday which was lovely and the food, which I always feel is very important when staying at a hotel was superb! 10/10 would recommend!
